Deepdene Campsite has two small clearings for tents but barely any options for those with hammocks - I would not hesitate to say that this campsite is the least hammock-friendly of all the Cape to Cape campsites.
The campsite is also a little tricky to find. The path that leads to the campsite begins at a blowout just behind a large dune. I walked right past the location the first time around as the signpost was completely obscured by the sand dune. The narrow path after the blowout leads through the woods for quite a distance before reaching the campsite. This campsite is also the only one that has an immediate access to the beach.
